Welcome to the website for the Modern Learning Symposium 2009.
In the current economic climate, learners are increasingly taking on the roles of
both customer and consumer, not only undertaking the training provided, but providing
feedback to shape future iterations. The learning provider needs to recognise and
adapt to this changing relationship to provide training that is not only beneficial,
but also current. Technology continues to change rapidly and the impact on lifelong
learning is clearly visible, from the use of ‘serious games’ through to virtual
learning environments. It is therefore vital that both the civilian and defence
sectors keep up to date with this technology and its application in the learning
environment.
Following on from the success of the previous years’ events, HMS SULTAN is once
again offering the opportunity for defence and training professionals to hear from
some of the leading experts in modern learning.
We are sure you will find MLS09 stimulating and thought provoking, whilst providing
an excellent opportunity for training professionals to share good practice and explore
